Parent to Parent NZ presents: Getting A Break Workshop

Parent to Parent NZ presents: Getting A Break Workshop

Do you care for a disabled family member who is nearing adulthood? Asking yourself what happens next? Plan for the next stage of your family member’s life with this new workshop.

Many parents and carers worry what will happen when they are no longer able to support their disabled whānau member to the extent they do today. This comprehensive new workshop [series] will show you step by step how to support and safeguard the future for your disabled loved one. Topics covered include:

  • UNCRPD (Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities)
  • Privacy issues
  • Supported decision making
  • Legal capacity
  • Welfare guardianship
  • Wills, trusts and enduring powers of attorney

Ensure your disabled family member is set up to live a ‘good life’ as they move into adulthood with this three-part Zoom workshop series. Registrations will close at 11am on Monday 4 October. Sign up today to secure your spot!
