SibCamp

Hawke’s Bay

An opportunity for siblings to share a special weekend full of adventure and discovery!

Siblings will get the chance to breathe in nature, hang out together and have fun in a stunning Hawke’s Bay natural playground. Through a range of activities, siblings will play and learn in a safe environment with every opportunity to make life-long memories.

The benefits of outdoor adventure are many, including creative challenge, increased environmental awareness, better emotional regulation, improved social interaction, physical and mental exercise and more!

As well as having fun and making new friends, siblings will get the chance to sit down together and talk about what it’s like having a disabled sibling, in a safe environment with others who know just where they are coming from. We expect this discovery weekend to be very popular so get in quick!

For children and youth aged 8-18 in the Hawke’s Bay Region with an intellectually-disabled sibling.

A full list of clothing and equipment will be provided to attendees.

Food will be provided from Saturday morning tea through to Sunday morning tea.

The SibCamp is free! Thanks to funding from IHC.
