SibCamp

Kauaeranga Valley / Thames

An opportunity for siblings to share a special weekend full of adventure on the stunning Kauaeranga Valley!

Siblings will get the chance to breathe in nature, hang out together and have fun in the fantastic Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp. Through a range of activities—such as Go-Kart racing, BMX riding, outdoor games, among others—siblings will play and learn in a safe environment with every opportunity to make life-long memories. And did we mention there’ll be a first-night bonfire with toasted marshmallows and hot choc?

The benefits of outdoor adventure are many, including creative challenge, increased environmental awareness, better emotional regulation, improved social interaction, physical and mental exercise and more!

As well as having fun and making new friends, siblings will get the chance to sit down together and talk about what it’s like having a disabled sibling, in a safe environment with others who know just where they are coming from. We expect this discovery weekend to be very popular so get in quick!

Food provided from Saturday lunch through to Sunday lunch.

Free! Thanks to funding from the IHC*

*Children and youth aged 8-18 with a disabled, neurodivergent or health-impaired sibling are able to attend (a full list of clothing and equipment will be provided to attendees).
