The Together Kitchen

A cooking class focused on the art of Indian cuisine for families raising children with disabilities.

Come together with other families to build connections and discover support through the shared experience of cooking.

Parent to Parent, in collaboration with Western Bay of Plenty District Council, invites Te Puke families to an evening of cooking together. The Together Kitchen is a weekly cooking class celebrating the art of Indian cuisine. Each session focuses on a new recipe, followed by sharing a meal together. Families will also have time to connect and discuss the joys and challenges of raising a disabled child in New Zealand.

Join Te Puke local Neena Chauhan, Community Liaison and multi-language teacher, who brings 22 years of experience as an interpreter and translator within the Indian community. Neena will share her love of cooking, her personal journey, and her work bridging communities. This event is part of our Arts Day, celebrating Indian cuisine as an art form. For families of children with physical / learning disabilities or high health needs. One child per family is allowed to this event.

This event is FREE and made possible through the Arts Grants for Ethnic Communities in the Western Bay District fund.
