Learning about disability support services can feel overwhelming for many parents and caregivers. This workshop is designed to guide you through the supports available in your region, while also offering the chance to hear directly from professionals working within the disability support sector.
The aim of this session is to provide participants with a clear overview of disability support, the services available in the local community, and how to access and make the most of the supports their family may need. The session will cover the recent changes to Individualised Funding (IF), practical strategies for successfully managing your Individualised Funding, and how to build an effective partnership with your IF Host to get the most from your funding.
The session will be facilitated by Marshall Te Tau, Whaiātea at Access Community Health. Lunch will be provided.
This workshop is free! Thanks to funding from Care Matters.
