Parent to Parent, in collaboration with Western Bay of Plenty District Council, invites Te Puke families to a vibrant afternoon celebrating Indian cuisine and culture. This special event marks the finale of our Together Kitchen programme, featuring a live cooking demonstration with sample tastings, plus fun activities including henna painting, jewellery making, dress-ups, a photo booth, and Indian dance lessons. Families will also have time to connect and share experiences of raising a disabled child in New Zealand in a supportive environment.
Join local Neena Chauhan, Community Liaison and multi-language teacher, who will share her love of cooking, her journey, and her work within the Indian community. Part of our Arts Day, this free event celebrates culture as an art form and is designed for families of children with physical or learning disabilities, or high health needs.
This event is FREE, thanks to the Arts Grants for Ethnic Communities in the Western Bay District Fund.
