Whaikaha Community Consultation

Whaikaha is seeking feedback on wellbeing and respite initiatives for disabled people, family and whānau

Whaikaha have heard community concerns about the lack of access to respite services, particularly in the Auckland, Northland, and Tairāwhiti regions. Whaikaha has funding for an initial investment in the community to explore how to better sustain the wellbeing of disabled people and their whānau.

Whaikaha want to make sure what they invest in, is what the community is seeking.

To do this, we are keen to get feedback from disabled people, tāngata whaikaha Māori and whānau about community priorities, what we’ve got right and what they’d like to see that’s different, and what needs to change in our planning. We would also like to hear the stories of whānau who have tried new things to improve their wellbeing.

In partnership with Te Hau Ora o Ngāpuhi.  Light refreshments and kai provided.

Contact Don Martin if you have any accessibility requirements e.g. NZSL interpreter.
