New radio programme and podcast

Big announcement! Parent to Parent is excited to launch Connect, Inform, Support; a 30-minute weekly radio programme discussing health and disability.

The programme will be largely interview-based as key people share their knowledge and experiences. It will be broadcast on Waikato’s Community Access radio station FreeFM89.0 and made available to 11 Access stations in New Zealand.

We go to air at 10.30am Thursday March 1 and repeat at 11am Saturday March 3.

All programmes will be available by podcast so you can listen at a time that suits you. Shownotes will be available with links to further information.

The first two programmes feature Parent to Parent people talking about our history, development and future. We discuss information on the key services we offer and how to access them.

The third week has Minister for Social Development and Disability Issues, Carmel Sepuloni, and Disability Rights Commissioner, Paula Tesoriero, discussing their roles and future direction.

Our first month ends with one of several programmes on Inclusive Education featuring National Director of Learning Support with the Ministry of Education, Dr David Wales, and Justine Brock from Vision Education and a parent of children with autism.

Thank you to the IHC Foundation for it’s support to ensure this programme could be produced.
