Living with a brother or sister who has a disability can be challenging. SibSupport was founded in NZ in 1995 as a space for siblings to chat about issues, learn new tips and strategies and establish peer-support networks.

A unique service in Aotearoa, Parent to Parent set up SibSupport NZ® 30 years ago to support children and youth who are growing up with a disabled, health-impaired, or neurodivergent sibling.

As Darlene shares in this video, SibSupport is a really valuable Parent to Parent service that enables siblings to thrive in their family and community. Our events are generally oversubscribed, and we would love to provide more across New Zealand. The extent of the programme is dependent on funding, so please consider donating to increase its reach and/or sharing our SibSupport NZ donation link.

You can find out more about our programme, which includes camps and one-day events, here, and sign up for our newsletter to hear about events in your area.

We couldn’t have maintained this life-changing service without our funders. So… a HUGE thank you to all our SibShop funders and IHC New Zealand for supporting our SibCamp events.

Your donation will help change more young peoples' lives
